Our Story

Founded by art therapist Donna Lexa in 1985, the Donna Lexa Community Art Centers (DLAC) was established to enhance accessibility to the arts for individuals with disabilities. Following her untimely passing in 1996, DLAC has continued to honor her legacy by providing creative opportunities for those with disabilities, chronic mental illness, and veterans in Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties.

Impact

DLAC serves over 400 individuals annually across two studio locations, thirteen outreach sites, and various community galleries, ensuring that everyone has access to the transformative power of art.
