Our Story

Founded in 1976 as the YWCA Women’s Resource Center, Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania has evolved to meet the urgent needs of survivors. With the opening of Washington County’s first shelter in 1980, the organization has expanded its reach to Greene and Fayette counties, becoming a vital resource for those affected by domestic violence.
