District Alliance for Safe Housing, known as DASH, is a pioneering organization dedicated to providing safe housing and essential services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Founded in 2006, DASH has become the largest dedicated safe housing provider in the District, ensuring that survivors and their families can rebuild their lives free from violence.

Impact of DASH

In FY 2022, DASH successfully housed 86 adults and 62 children, provided emergency financial assistance to 57 individuals, and facilitated wellness activities for 120 participants. The organization also offered emergency hotel stays for 34 individuals and assisted 889 people with safe housing resources.
