Our Story
Discapacitados Abriéndose Caminos was founded over 20 years ago by Ana and Kevin Pérez, who faced immense challenges after a storm devastated their home. Feeling lost and unsupported by the systems meant to help, they connected with others experiencing similar struggles. This bond led to the creation of a community group where individuals could share their experiences, learn, and find solace in their own language and culture. Today, d.a.c. serves as a beacon of hope for families affected by disabilities, guiding them through the complexities of healthcare, public services, and educational systems.
