Our Story

Founded in 1899, Directions for Youth & Families has evolved through various name changes and mergers, ultimately becoming a beacon of hope for the Franklin County community. By merging Crittenton Family Services and Directions For Youth in 1999, the organization now provides innovative, culturally sensitive counseling and educational programs.

Each year, DFYF positively impacts over 6,300 youth and their families, fostering mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
