DignityMoves was founded by a dedicated group of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) members during the pandemic, uniting their resources and expertise to tackle the growing crisis of unsheltered homelessness. With a commitment to challenge the status quo, this organization applies disruptive thinking and private sector strategies to create scalable solutions that truly make a difference.

Under the leadership of founder and CEO Elizabeth Funk, DignityMoves has already made significant strides in building interim supportive housing communities across California. The organization’s first project, LifeMoves Mountain View, was constructed in less than six months, providing 88 rooms for individuals and 12 for families who were previously living in cars or encampments.

Making a Lasting Impact

With seven interim housing communities and over 1,000 units in the pipeline, DignityMoves is dedicated to ending street sleeping and improving the lives of those experiencing homelessness. By providing rapid, cost-effective housing solutions, the organization is paving the way for a brighter future.
