About the Dickinson Theatre Organ Society
Founded in 1970, the Dickinson Theatre Organ Society (DTOS) is dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique musical art form of the theatre pipe organ. The organization has successfully relocated the historic Kimball organ from Philadelphia’s Boyd Theatre to Dickinson High School, transforming it into a complete 'unit orchestra' that captivates audiences.
Impact of DTOS
DTOS has enhanced the Mighty Kimball Pipe Organ, making it the fifth largest theatre pipe organ in the world. This achievement has allowed for numerous concerts featuring world-renowned theatre organists, enriching the cultural landscape of the community.
Why Donate?
Your donations to DTOS support the preservation of the theatre pipe organ, fund concerts, provide scholarships for aspiring organists, and enhance the facility housing the organ. Contributions are tax-deductible and help ensure the continuation of this unique musical heritage for future generations.
