Our Story

Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) is a dedicated non-profit organization that has established 182 communities across 27 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. With a humble beginning from a $7,000 investment, RHF has grown through the vision of three United Church of Christ (UCC) leaders into one of the largest organizations focused on affordable housing for those in need.

RHF enhances the quality of life for over 19,000 older adults, low-income families, and persons with disabilities, providing essential housing and services.
