Our Story

In November 2010, local leaders in Palm Beach County recognized the urgent need to address the rising prevalence of diabetes. This concern led to the formation of the Diabetes Coalition of Palm Beach County in March 2012, with the aim of linking local initiatives to the Florida Diabetes Health System Strategic Plan. Under the guidance of Barbara Jacobowitz, the Coalition has become a beacon of hope for those affected by diabetes.

Impact

The Diabetes Coalition engages in community outreach events, offering free diabetes risk assessments, rapid-result A1c tests, and educational programs throughout Palm Beach County. These initiatives empower individuals to take control of their health and prevent diabetes.
