Our Story
In 1929, a dedicated group of citizens in Devine, Texas, recognized the urgent need for a fire department. This initiative led to the formation of the Devine Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, which has proudly served the community for nearly a century. As a recognized 501c3 non-profit organization since 1955, the department has grown to include nine apparatuses and thirty personnel, including active firefighters and cadets. The establishment of the Devine Fire & EMS Academy further enhances training opportunities for future emergency responders.
