Founded in 1948 by Ty Tyson and other Metro Detroit sports announcers, the Detroit Sports Media Association (DSMA) is the only local sports media association remaining in the United States. It welcomes sports media professionals from every discipline, fostering a community dedicated to the advancement of sports media.
