Promotion Of Irish Culture

Our Story

Established in 1961, the Detroit International Feis Committee has been dedicated to promoting traditional Irish dance and culture. The first annual Feis took place in 1962 alongside a Gaelic League picnic, and since then, it has evolved into a cherished event in the Midwest. With participation from multiple generations and international competitors, the Feis showcases the commitment of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure its success.
