Our Story

Founded in 2015 by former Detroit elementary school teacher David Silver, Detroit Horse Power is dedicated to teaching Detroit students the art of riding and caring for horses. This unique approach not only fosters a love for animals but also equips youth with essential life skills. Plans are underway to establish an urban equestrian center on repurposed vacant land in Detroit, which will serve as a vibrant community hub offering year-round youth programming.
