Founded in 2020 by Bishop Edgar Vann and Dr. Bertram Marks, Detroit Equity Inc. emerged from a commitment by Detroit's leaders to combat inequity. DEI focuses on ensuring that the economic recovery of Detroit benefits all residents, especially those in disadvantaged communities.
DEI is dedicated to increasing representation of Detroiters and People of Color in the workforce, connecting minority-owned businesses to opportunities, and promoting leadership diversity.
