Our Story

The Detroit Black Community Food Sovereignty Network (DBCFSN) was established to empower Detroit's African American population in the local food movement. By positioning them in leadership roles, DBCFSN advocates for Black food sovereignty and environmental justice, expanding its impact both nationally and globally.

Our Impact

DBCFSN builds self-reliance and food security in Detroit’s Black community through public policy influence, urban agriculture, and youth engagement.
