Our Story

Established in 1980, the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) is dedicated to serving older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in Detroit and surrounding areas. By removing barriers, DAAA fosters aging-friendly neighborhoods through vital programs in nutrition, health, and wellness.

With supportive services, 37,909 individuals are stronger, 9,914 enjoy healthier lives through nutritious meals, and 3,587 gain independence with long-term care support.
