Founded in May 2016, Destiny Steps, Inc. is dedicated to training individuals working with young children in early childhood and childcare settings. Under the leadership of Sherita Newbern, the organization launched its first training program, the Child Development Associate (CDA) Program, in November 2019. With the support of Charitable Allies, Inc., Destiny Steps, Inc. achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in March 2020, allowing for greater community support.

As the need for diverse training programs grew, Destiny Steps expanded its offerings to include transportation, culinary arts, construction, and dance. The organization actively seeks partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to provide essential resources for individuals enrolled in its programs.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Destiny Steps, Inc. remains committed to helping families overcome barriers to self-sufficiency, ensuring a brighter future for all.
