Destination Crenshaw reflects the resilience and creativity of Black Americans. Initiated in response to the Crenshaw/LAX airport light rail line, this project showcases the cultural heart of the Black community. It represents the largest reparative Black art and economic revival program in the country, focusing on community spaces, local business investment, job creation, and commissioning Black artists.
Destination Crenshaw powers economic and cultural revitalization in the Crenshaw corridor by supporting Black-owned businesses and commissioning over 100 works of art from Black artists, making it the largest public/private Black art program in the U.S.
