Destination Crenshaw

Our Story

Destination Crenshaw reflects the resilience and creativity of Black Americans. Initiated in response to the construction of the Crenshaw/LAX light rail line, this project aims to showcase the cultural heart of the Black community through the largest reparative Black art and economic revival program in the country.

Impact

Destination Crenshaw is dedicated to revitalizing the Crenshaw corridor by supporting Black-owned businesses, ensuring local hiring for construction, and commissioning over 100 works of art from Black artists. This initiative stands as the largest public/private Black art program in the U.S.
