Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue of Arizona (DHDR) is the state’s first and oldest 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating purebred Dobermans. Founded in January 2009 during a challenging economic period, DHDR was established to save Dobermans from shelters and provide them with loving forever homes. The organization adheres to the Doberman Pinscher Club of America Rescue Code of Ethics, ensuring the highest standards of care for every dog.

Approximately 90% of all donations directly fund veterinary care for rescued Dobermans. The remaining funds are used for essential supplies, often sourced second-hand or at discounted rates. With a dedicated team of volunteers, DHDR is able to provide comprehensive care and support for these deserving animals.
