Our Story

The Des Moines Legacy Foundation was established in 1999 with a mission to improve the quality of life for underserved populations in Des Moines, WA. By uniting local patrons, partners, sponsors, businesses, schools, and places of worship, the Foundation has successfully funded various programs that enrich the lives of the elderly, youth, and other vulnerable citizens.

Over the past 25 years, the Des Moines Legacy Foundation has transformed the community through charitable giving, focusing on senior services, human services, youth services, parks and playground equipment, visual and performing arts, and recreation scholarships.
