Our Story

Founded in 2016 by Shawn Aaron, Dem Bois Inc. emerged from the need to address the financial barriers faced by trans men of color in accessing gender-affirming surgeries. After experiencing his own medical transition, Shawn recognized the struggles of others and established this organization to provide essential financial assistance for chest reconstruction and genital reassignment surgeries.
