Our Story
The Delmarva Free School was founded in October 2016 to address the opioid epidemic affecting Worcester and Wicomico counties on Maryland’s lower Eastern Shore. Initially, it provided free psychoeducational seminars focused on women’s mental health, complex trauma, and recovery.
Impact
In its first year, the organization hosted eighteen free seminars and workshops, serving nearly fifty individuals and families. The Delmarva Free School has made significant strides in recovery, with three-quarters of its funding sourced from direct services.
