Our Story

The DeLand Receiving Home was established in 1970 through a collaborative effort initiated by the Sheboygan County Department of Health and Human Services. This vital home was a generous gift from the DeLand Foundation, founded by the late Ambrose D. DeLand. Since its inception, DeLand has been dedicated to providing shelter and support for over 2,850 children in Sheboygan County, ensuring they receive the care they need during difficult times.
