Our Story

Decatur Area Emergency Assistance Ministry, known as DEAM, was established in 1973 to provide vital emergency assistance to individuals and families in need. Since becoming an independent ministry in 1977, DEAM has been supported by 18 local churches, working tirelessly to connect those in need with essential resources.

Impact

Each month, DEAM serves over 250 families and 125 unhoused clients, offering critical support to alleviate hunger, prevent utility disconnections, and provide life-sustaining medications.
