Our Story

Founded in 1995 by Elvia Wallace-Martinez, Debes Creer En Ti (DCET) began as a Spanish radio talk show aimed at promoting virtues and family values. Over the years, it evolved into a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing literacy, community, and mentoring programs primarily for Hispanic and Latino families. Operating on limited funding and personal finances, Elvia continues to volunteer her time, helping thousands of students avoid dropping out of school and enter the workforce, while steering them away from crime and welfare dependency.
