Our Story

DeafLEAD has been a beacon of hope for nearly 30 years, led by Deaf individuals who understand the unique challenges faced by the Deaf community. Originally founded as the Youth L.E.A.D. Foundation, the organization has evolved to provide essential crisis services tailored specifically for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, and Late-Deafened individuals. Dr. Logan, who lost her hearing to meningitis, has been pivotal in shaping DeafLEAD's mission to support victims of crime.

Impact

DeafLEAD offers 24/7 crisis intervention, advocacy, case management, interpreting, and mental health support services. These services are crucial for Deaf and hard of hearing victims of crime, ensuring they receive culturally and linguistically appropriate assistance.
