Our Story

The Deaf-Hearing Communication Center, Inc. (DHCC) was founded in 1972 by a passionate Deaf individual who recognized the urgent need for services tailored to Deaf people and their families. Since its incorporation in 1974, DHCC has expanded its offerings to include education, sign language interpreting, and advocacy, fostering mutual respect and communication access among Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals.

Our Impact

DHCC is dedicated to advocating for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, ensuring they have access to essential services, businesses, and educational institutions. With programs like the 24-Hour Sign Language Interpreting Emergency Service and sensitivity training for organizations, DHCC is making a significant difference in the community.
