Our Story
In June 1960, a dedicated group from the Pacific Southwest District of the Unitarian Universalist Association sought to create a summer conference site to replace the inadequate Camp Radford. After careful consideration, they purchased a Boy Scout camp near Barton Flats, renaming it Camp de Benneville Pines in honor of George deBenneville. Since its opening in 1962, the camp has evolved into a year-round conference facility, serving Unitarian Universalist congregations and various groups, providing a nurturing space for personal growth, community building, and a deep connection with nature.
