Our Story

The Dayton Historical Depot Society was established in 1974 by dedicated citizens aiming to preserve Dayton’s Historic Depot. Following the donation of the Depot by Union Pacific, restoration efforts commenced, culminating in the museum's grand opening in 1981. In 1999, the Society expanded its mission with the acquisition of the Boldman estate, transforming it into an educational showcase of a unique 20th-century family collection.

Our Impact

Through its museums, the Dayton Historical Depot Society maintains and interprets local history, serving as a vital resource for the community while preserving invaluable historical artifacts and archives.
