Founded in 2003, Day One New York Inc is dedicated to providing critical education and guidance to the youth of New York City on dating abuse and domestic violence. With a mission to empower young people to identify and maintain healthy relationships, Day One offers legal protection and support to those in need. The organization began as the New York office of Break the Cycle, and since becoming independent in 2011, it has focused solely on the unique challenges faced by individuals aged 24 and under.

By focusing on intervention, prevention, youth leadership development, and community education, the organization aims to create a culture where healthy relationships are the norm. Each year, Day One reaches over 20,000 youth and adults, providing essential services that empower individuals to build a future free from violence.
