Our Story

For over three decades, leading organizations in early childhood education have dedicated themselves to understanding how children learn best from birth. This commitment has culminated in the establishment of DAY ONE Early Learning Community (ELC), a pioneering initiative that utilizes innovative educational practices to foster brain development in young children. By creating meaningful opportunities for early childhood teachers, DAY ONE ELC sets new standards for sustainability, access, and lifelong learning.

Impact

DAY ONE is dedicated to creating exceptional learning opportunities for young children in New York State. Over the next six years, the organization aims to train 200 early childhood teachers, provide affordable education for 300 children, and support 6,000 parents in re-entering the workforce.
