Davis School Arts Foundation
EIN: 94-2791723 · Davis, CA
Our Story
The Davis School Arts Foundation was founded in 1981 by Patricia Hershberger in response to the Gann Initiative, which eliminated funding for arts programs in elementary public schools. This all-volunteer organization, comprised of parents, teachers, and community members, is dedicated to restoring arts funding through a matching funds model, ensuring every child has access to arts education.
Impact
DSAF has successfully funded arts education programs in Davis public schools, collaborating with the Davis Joint Unified School District to provide grants and support for arts integration training for educators. This partnership enhances the quality of arts education in the community.
