About Dauphin County CASA

In 2016, the Honorable Richard A. Lewis, then-President Judge of the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas, recognized the urgent need for a local Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. This led to the establishment of the Dauphin County CASA program, which officially began operations in 2018. Since then, the organization has trained eight classes of dedicated volunteers, empowering them to advocate for children in the foster care system.

Impact on Children

Dauphin County CASA has positively impacted the lives of over 50 children through initiatives focused on family reunification, adoption, and educational support. The trained volunteers serve as crucial advocates, ensuring that every child has a voice in the legal system.
