Our Story

In 2001, the journey to serve vulnerable children began with the adoption of a first child. Years of preparation culminated in 2020 when a sermon on Nehemiah ignited a passion to address the needs of women and children affected by sex trafficking. Despite challenges posed by the Family First Act in North Carolina, the mission to open a group home evolved into a calling to support women rescued from exploitation. Onehope Refuge was established to provide a safe haven for these families, emphasizing the importance of preserving family bonds and healing from trauma.
