About Darlington Arts Center

Founded in 1978 by Diana Sophocles Hemmenway, Darlington Arts Center is Pennsylvania's first community arts center to offer music, visual arts, dance, and drama under one roof. With a commitment to multi-disciplinary programming, the center has expanded its facilities and outreach, moving to a state-of-the-art location in 2002.

Impact on the Community

Darlington Arts Center builds community by ensuring arts education is accessible to individuals of all ages, interests, abilities, and income levels. Through scholarships and outreach programs, the center fosters a love for the arts in under-resourced communities.
