Our Story

Founded in London in 1844 by George Williams, the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) was established to provide spiritual and practical support to young men migrating to cities during the Industrial Revolution. This mission of fostering a healthy mind, body, and spirit has expanded globally, reaching communities around the world. Today, the YMCA serves millions in 120 countries, offering programs in education, fitness, and social services while remaining dedicated to inclusivity and positive social change.

Impact

Each year, the YMCA provides over $450,000 in financial assistance to more than 475 individuals, ensuring access to essential programs such as childcare, summer camps, swim lessons, and wellness initiatives. This support fosters a healthier, happier, and more connected community.
