Our Story

Cedars was founded in 1919 by Cora Myers and Gabrielle Renshaw as one of California’s original programs for people with developmental disabilities. This pioneering initiative aimed to provide community-based living options instead of institutionalization, redefining the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Impact

Today, Cedars serves nearly 200 adults with developmental disabilities through award-winning day programs and residential services, fostering independence and dignity while helping individuals realize their full potential.
