Our Story

Founded in 1889 and established in Rome in 1893, the Dante Alighieri Society aims to preserve and promote the Italian language and culture. The Charleston chapter, initiated in January 2017 by Claudio Pastor and Marina Gloria Bellelli, fosters appreciation for Italian heritage in the local community.
