Welcome to Dan's House of Hope
Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) aged 15 to 39 are often overlooked in the cancer care continuum, facing unique challenges that require specialized support. Dan's House of Hope is dedicated to bridging this gap by providing a nurturing environment for young adult cancer fighters receiving treatment at Houston's Texas Medical Center, including the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center.
More than just a place to stay, Dan's House of Hope offers a warm, bed-and-breakfast-style atmosphere where AYAs and their caregivers can find comfort and community. Since its inception in August 2011, DHOH has provided thousands of nights of lodging, ensuring that young adults can focus on their healing journey without the burden of accommodation costs.
At Dan's House, cancer fighters can connect with others who understand their struggles, participate in supportive programming, and reclaim a sense of normalcy amidst their treatment. From yoga sessions to arts and crafts, DHOH fosters a vibrant community that encourages healing through shared experiences.
