Danielson Veterans Coffeehouse

Our Story

In late 2014, community discussions revealed a significant gap in services for veterans in Northeastern Connecticut, home to approximately 60,000 veterans. Recognizing the need for a supportive environment, the Danielson Veterans Coffeehouse was established in April 2015. Initially starting as a twice-monthly meeting with just 13 veterans, the Coffeehouse has grown into a vital community hub where veterans of all ages can meet, socialize, and access information about benefits and services.

Impact

Since its inception, the Coffeehouse has served over 21,000 cups of coffee and donated numerous non-perishable food items to local food banks, significantly impacting the lives of veterans in the area.
