Our Story
Founded by director Larisa Carlson, Dance Studio Showtime - Katusha is a vibrant children's nonprofit organization rooted in Slavic culture. For over 19 years, the studio has dedicated itself to preserving the rich Slavic heritage through the performing arts, including folk dance, traditional music appreciation, and ethnic costumes. Located in Los Angeles, the studio has become a beacon of Slavic culture, earning acclaim through participation in numerous festivals, fairs, competitions, and public performances.
As the premier youth performer of Slavic folk dance in Southern California, Showtime - Katusha has graced celebrated venues such as the Annual International Folk Dance Festival and the Holiday Celebration at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The studio's performers have received numerous awards in prestigious dance competitions, including the 'Spotlight Dance Cup' and 'SHOWSTOPPER' National Finals at Disneyland.
