Our Story

The Damiano Center began in the early 1980s as a response to the recession in Duluth, Minnesota. A group of compassionate citizens came together to provide meals for those in need, starting in a former Catholic convent. Over the years, this initiative has blossomed into a cornerstone of the community, offering essential services without judgment.

As the largest emergency meal provider in Northeastern Minnesota, the Damiano Center serves thousands of individuals and families each year through its Community Kitchen, Free Store, and Kids' Kitchen programs.
