Our Story

The Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA) was launched on September 15, 2015, as part of The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s smart cities program announcement. This coalition includes stakeholders from the City of Dallas, corporations, civic organizations, academia, and private individuals, all dedicated to transforming Dallas into a smart city. The DIA emphasizes that smart cities are about people, not just technology, and has implemented projects like the 'Smart Cities Living Lab' to support community priorities identified in the City of Dallas’ Smart Cities Roadmap.

Impact

Since its inception, the DIA has prioritized equity, particularly in South, Southern, and West Dallas, tackling challenges such as the digital divide, transportation, and environmental sustainability. The 'Smart Cities Living Lab' initiative is recognized as the fastest to-market smart cities initiative in the country, showcasing the effectiveness of the DIA's collaborative approach.
