Established in 2003, Dallas Furniture Bank was founded by community volunteers Sheryl Fields Bogen and Jerry Szor to address the critical lack of furniture resources for homeless individuals securing housing. Partnering with over 40 nonprofit agencies, DFB transforms empty apartments into homes, providing stability and a sense of well-being for families and individuals in need.
In 2023, Dallas Furniture Bank distributed 16,014 pieces of furniture to 1,164 families, including 468 beds for children through the Beds4Kidz program.
