Founded by the Bleyzer family, Ukrainian-American immigrants from Kharkiv, the Daar Charitable Foundation has dedicated over twenty years to supporting Ukraine. Established to provide humanitarian assistance, the foundation has been pivotal during crises, including the illegal occupation of Crimea in 2014 and the ongoing war since February 2022.
Since the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, the Daar Foundation has delivered over 6,000 items of personal protective gear, granted over $500,000 to local nonprofits, distributed over 100 tons of food, and shipped over 150,000 lbs. of medical supplies valued at more than $5,000,000. Remarkably, over 98 cents of every dollar donated directly funds humanitarian aid.
