D.T.O. Jazz Fest Inc. was established in January 2013, originally as Miami International Jazz Fest Inc. The organization hosted its inaugural festival in Miami in 2014, showcasing a vibrant array of jazz performances. After a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival successfully transitioned to Orlando, where the first event took place in April 2022, reaffirming the city as a new home for jazz culture.
