Organizational Story
The Częstochowa-Radomsko Area Research Group (CRARG) was founded in 2003 by Daniel Kazez, who embarked on a journey to uncover his family history. This initiative revealed a treasure trove of archival records related to Jewish genealogy in Poland. CRARG is dedicated to finding, translating, and making searchable a vast array of Jewish records from the late 1700s to the 1940s, specifically for Jews who lived in the Częstochowa and Radomsko areas. With over 1.8 million records and more than 1,600 completed projects, CRARG plays a vital role in helping individuals trace their Jewish ancestry and preserve the rich history of Jewish communities in Poland.
