Each family has faced the heartbreaking diagnosis of their child, told by doctors that there is no treatment or hope. Refusing to accept this grim reality, these families have worked tirelessly to pave the way for research and advancements in gene therapy. In 2021, the foundation rebranded to focus on a broader mission: advancing research towards a cure for Leigh syndrome and mitochondrial diseases.
