About the Cultural Enrichment Center
The Cultural Enrichment Center (CEC) was established in 2020 to address the unique cultural, academic, career, and social needs of middle and high school African American students in Fort Collins. In a community where the Black population is less than 2%, the CEC provides a vital space for these students to connect with their heritage through history, literature, arts, music, dance, and folklore. This initiative is crucial in combating racial inequities and fostering a sense of belonging.
Impact of the CEC
The CEC is dedicated to promoting social change and advancing racial equity. By forging partnerships with other community organizations, the CEC works to change policies and practices that lead to disparate outcomes for Black youth. The organization ensures that students are treated with respect and have access to culturally responsive education.
Why Donate?
